Privacy Policy

Information submitted directly

thesinkingcity2.net is a static informational website. There are no accounts, comment systems, forms or newsletters, and we do not sell personal data. If you email us, the contact section below explains how that message is used. Advertising, analytics and hosting providers can separately process device, connection and usage data as described on this page.

Advertising

We load Google AdSense to provide advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers or other signals to deliver, measure and protect ads, depending on your region and Google's settings. See Google's advertising technologies policy and My Ad Center for controls provided by Google.

Analytics

We use three analytics services to understand site usage:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google) — page views and usage patterns; sets cookies (e.g. _ga). See Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the GA opt-out add-on.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — session recordings and heatmaps to improve page layout; sets cookies. See the Microsoft privacy statement.
• Plausible Analytics (self-hosted instance) — privacy-friendly, cookieless aggregate statistics; no personal data or cross-site tracking.

Site operators can access the aggregate reports and interaction recordings these services provide. Those reports may include approximate location, device and browser details, page activity and pseudonymous identifiers; they do not give us your name unless you separately choose to contact us.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Embedded videos (YouTube)

Some pages show a YouTube preview thumbnail before loading the player. That preview thumbnail may be requested from i.ytimg.com before you press play, which can expose standard connection data such as your IP address and browser headers to Google or YouTube. After activation, videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie) player; YouTube may still set cookies or collect usage data when you press play. See Google's privacy policy.

External links

This site links to third-party sites (Steam, Frogwares, editorial outlets). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

If you email support@thesinkingcity2.net, we use your address and message only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any list.
