No. The Sinking City 2 launched on August 18, 2026 without Xbox Game Pass availability on any tier — it is a paid purchase. The Xbox store listing notes cloud play still requires buying the game.

Is it open world?
Frogwares describes the game as having exploration through “drowned alleys of Arkham” with locations including “a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.” The game is not explicitly labeled “open world” in official materials.

Frogwares says about 8–12 hours for one walkthrough, or up to 14–16 hours if you chase everything. Launch reviews land in the same band.

Do I need to play The Sinking City 1?
No. Frogwares calls The Sinking City 2 a standalone story separate from the original game, led by new protagonist Calvin Rafferty. Prior knowledge may add context, but it is not required to follow this story.

Does it support AMD FSR?
Not at launch. Frogwares is waiting on AMD's Unreal Engine 5.8 plugin. NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation are available (RTX 40/50 for FG).
What is the first safe code?
Apartment 5 at 12 Garrison Street opens with 1908 — the year the Radio Store opened.
Does it support HDR?
Not yet — but it's coming. Frogwares confirmed a free HDR patch as part of post-launch support, expected shortly after release. The Steam page does not list HDR at launch.

Does it run on Steam Deck?
Valve currently rates the game Steam Deck Unsupported. As checked on August 26, 2026, the store's failed test is graphics performance. That status is not an FPS promise and does not certify or reject a separate Windows handheld.

Does it support ray tracing?
The Xbox Series X|S store listing lists Ray Tracing. Steam does not list ray tracing, and Frogwares has not published PC-specific implementation details. Treat the Xbox capability as a platform-specific confirmation, not proof of a PC option.

Are there multiple endings?
No — one definitive ending. Unlike the first game, choices and optional evidence don't change the outcome, so there's no "good ending" to miss. (Source: third-party reviews and ending recaps.)

Is there New Game+?
Yes. Frogwares identifies Ex Oblivione as its New Game+ mode and says it contains secrets and lore. Pre-launch press wording places the unlock after the main story, but does not provide a current item-by-item transfer table.

Frogwares released a free one-hour trial during June 2026 Next Fest, but Steam shows no current Demo button or separate Demo listing as of August 25, 2026.

Can I still get the pre-order bonus?
The Chthonic Arsenal pre-order bonus (three weapons) was available to all pre-orders. Frogwares has not stated whether it is still available post-launch. Check the Steam store for current availability.

What is the Frozen Statue puzzle solution?
Shoot kneeling person, octopus, Deep One, hourglass, then Leyden Jar. Use the Heart of Ice on the Frozen Statue in Cold Storage.
Is there a Holloway Manor walkthrough?
Yes. It is separate DLC, not a sixth campaign chapter. Safe code 1890; Seance Table uses Catherine's 1750 death year.
