Frozen Statue & Heart of Ice puzzle solution

Before you can use the Frozen Statue

1. Progress through Time and Tide until the Fish Market's past sequence.
2. Open the Abandoned Office safe with 6294 during the memory and collect the Leyden Jar.
3. Back in the present, take the Heart of Stone and use it on the eerie Strange Statue near Ma Fishface's Shop.

If the Frozen Statue has no useful interaction yet, this earlier statue sequence is the step you are missing.

Strange Statue arm order

After inserting the Heart of Stone, shoot the five marked arms in this order:

1. Kneeling person — right arm
2. Octopus — upper-left arm
3. Deep One statuette — lower-right arm
4. Hourglass — left arm
5. Leyden Jar — lower-left arm

The statue breaks when the sequence is accepted. Collect the Heart of Ice from it. This is sometimes described by players as the red idol puzzle, but it is not the Frozen Statue itself.

Where to use the Heart of Ice

1. Return through the Warehouse to Cold Storage on the lower level of the Fish Market.
2. Go through the snowflake-marked Cold Room door. The Snowflake Key is collected earlier in the Auction Room.
3. Interact with the Frozen Statue and insert the Heart of Ice.
4. Take the Depleted Leyden Jar. An E.R.C. Activator Pen is beside the statue; use it on the nearby crate for Dream Essence and grenades.

How to recharge the Depleted Leyden Jar

Take the jar to the Construction Site on the second floor. Insert it into the charging machine. Enemies attack while the power repeatedly cuts out; pull the switches beside the red lights whenever charging stops. Retrieve the charged jar when the encounter ends.

This becomes your third Leyden Jar, allowing you to open the three-starfish door into the Broken Hold and continue the chapter.
