Route notes for the easy-to-miss documents
The Burden of Knowledge — Devil's Reef Hotel
Disable the poison gas, backtrack through the doorway that was previously blocked, and continue to the wine room. Squeeze through the gap into Linen Storage and check the crate immediately to the right.
The Pursuit of the Unknown — hospital approach
After leaving the boat, follow the woodland route toward Akeley Hospital but inspect the small side area south of the main path. The document is on a picnic table before you enter the hospital.
The Mother of Invention — Fish Market
Use the first Leyden Jar on the starfish door, go through to the balcony and drop to the lower level. Turn left and search the crates in the far corner before continuing through the market.
The Son of Cthylla — final Portal Room
Restore power to the portal first, then search the back corner of the room near the extra pickups and E.R.C. Activator Pen. Do this before committing to the final sequence.
What carries into Ex Oblivione?
Current route testing published at launch reports that your Talent points carry over, while ordinary inventory and inventory upgrades should not be treated as retained. Plan the second run as a fresh item route with an upgraded character rather than a full equipment carryover.

From Oblivion achievement not unlocking
- Confirm you started Ex Oblivione, not a normal new game.
- Open and read each purple document after collecting it.
- Recheck the woodland picnic table, Observation Ward side room and Fish Market balcony drop; those three sit away from the direct route.
- Collect the Portal Room document before advancing to the ending.
