All 8 Ex Oblivione document locations
Quick answer: this is the location list for the eight purple lore writings — not the explanation of what Ex Oblivione is. They begin in Apartment 6 and end in the final Portal Room. Read all eight in one New Game Plus run to unlock From Oblivion. What the mode is, and what carries over, is on the Ex Oblivione / New Game Plus page.

Route notes for the easy-to-miss documents
The Burden of Knowledge — Devil's Reef Hotel
Disable the poison gas, backtrack through the doorway that was previously blocked, and continue to the wine room. Squeeze through the gap into Linen Storage and check the crate immediately to the right.
The Pursuit of the Unknown — hospital approach
After leaving the boat, follow the woodland route toward Akeley Hospital but inspect the small side area south of the main path. The document is on a picnic table before you enter the hospital.
The Mother of Invention — Fish Market
Use the first Leyden Jar on the starfish door, go through to the balcony and drop to the lower level. Turn left and search the crates in the far corner before continuing through the market.
The Son of Cthylla — final Portal Room
Restore power to the portal first, then search the back corner of the room near the extra pickups and E.R.C. Activator Pen. Do this before committing to the final sequence.
Need unlock or carryover evidence?
This page owns the eight-document checklist only. The separate source-checked New Game Plus guide explains what Frogwares confirmed directly, what survives only as pre-launch press wording, and which transfer details remain undefined.
From Oblivion achievement not unlocking
- Confirm you started Ex Oblivione, not a normal new game.
- Open and read each purple document after collecting it.
- Recheck the woodland picnic table, Observation Ward side room and Fish Market balcony drop; those three sit away from the direct route.
- Collect the Portal Room document before advancing to the ending.
