Frogwares previously released a free one-hour PC trial. Today, the official store page has no Demo button, its AppDetails API returns demos: null, and Steam search does not surface a separate demo app. The page below preserves what that trial covered without presenting its old announcement as a working download.

Stuck in the opening hour?
The historical demo was the start of Chapter 1. Two things still stop most players before the Library Annex:
- Apartment 5 kitchen safe: the Radio Store year code. Launch builds label the room Apartment 5; some demo write-ups called it Apartment 6.
- First floodgate: fuse box placement after you take the Radio Store fuses.

What the historical demo included
The historical demo covered the opening hour of the full game, not a separate side story. It began Calvin's journey, introduced the survival-horror loop and followed the main route into the Library Annex. Its three practical evaluation areas were:
Combat feel
It let players try aiming, dodging, resource pressure and the first hostile encounters before buying the full game.
Exploration loop
It showed flooded-street traversal, the motorboat route, searching and the Library Annex's denser interior spaces.
PC performance
It offered a short hardware check, although that old demo build is not a substitute for the patched release build.
“One hour” described the intended slice, not a guaranteed timer for every player. Exploration speed and retries could change actual playtime.

Platform boundary: The only previously confirmed demo was on Steam for Windows PC, and it is not currently listed. Frogwares did not announce a PS5, Xbox, Epic Games Store or GOG trial.
Save boundary: Demo save carry-over was never confirmed. If the trial returns, assume a fresh start unless Frogwares or the store publishes a transfer statement.
Which PC requirements should you use now?
Use the released full game's current requirements. The removed June demo listing described an older build, and its hardware table can no longer be revalidated on Steam's live page. Repeating that vanished table as current guidance would be misleading.
