About This Site

thesinkingcity2.net is an independent question-answering site for The Sinking City 2. We answer common player questions using only official sources. We are not affiliated with Frogwares or The Sinking City franchise.

Our editorial rules:

• One search question per page. Each page answers a specific player question (e.g., “When does it release?”, “What are the system requirements?”).
• Official sources only. We cite Frogwares press releases, Steam store pages, and official Steam announcements. We do not use gaming news sites, wikis, Reddit, or unofficial sources.
• Visible source URLs. Every changing fact has a visible link to its official source on the page.
• No invention. If Frogwares has not published a detail (playtime, physical copies, crossplay status), we say so. We do not fill gaps with guesses or third-party claims.
• Discrepancies shown. When official sources conflict (e.g., “Balanced” vs “Medium” preset naming), we show both and date them.
• Reception is labeled. Official channels do not publish review scores or playtime data. Post-launch, these are answered from named editorial reviews and aggregators — only on the Reviews page and in clearly labeled FAQ answers.

• Named outlets (PC Gamer, Push Square, Bloody Disgusting, Wccftech, WayTooManyGames, PlayStation Universe and others), each linked directly on the Reviews page

This site intentionally does not include:

• Wikis: No walkthrough, endings guide, weapons list, maps directory, or settings optimizer.
• Our own opinions: Review scores and playtime appear only on the Reviews page, always attributed to named third-party outlets — we never score the game ourselves.
• Unsourced claims: No Reddit rumors, wikis, or unattributed third-party claims.
• Invented details: No crossplay quotes, Game Pass guesses, or physical copy speculation.
