Printing Press puzzle: Gold or Silver?
Gold pattern: press 5 → 7 → 6 → 3 for Cutter's Sturdy Stock, a unique shotgun attachment.
Silver pattern: press 1 → 6 → 9 for 2 Dream Essence. The press breaks after one reward, so save first.
How the 3×3 press is numbered

Insert Plates A, B and C, then press the tiles in order. You only get one result on the current playthrough. The Gold reward is generally the stronger choice because it is a unique weapon attachment; Dream Essence can be earned elsewhere.
All Printing Plate locations
- Plate C — Church: inside the Star-key crypt during the Trident investigation.
- Plate A — Printing House area: in the building reached past the makeshift ramp, on the route where you obtain the Steel Gear.
- Plate B — Fire Department: in the apartment beside the Fire Department, accessible after using the crane to move the whale obstruction.
With all three plates, return to the Printing House. The press is in the secret room off the Director's Office.
